Both salt and pepper mill feature Cole & Mason sharp ceramic grinding mechanism. Grinders are covered by a two-year guarantee. You can easily adjust the salt or pepper grind by tightening or loosening the knob underneath the mill. To refill the grinders, simply pop off the top. The grinders are presented in a plastic free, carton box, making this set an ideal gift. Hints & tips: If your grinder becomes difficult to grind, particularly on a fine setting, trying clearing the mechanism by loosening the knob underneath the mill to the coarsest setting and twist the top. This will free any large salt crystals that may have become lodged. Retighten the knob to the desired setting but be sure to never fully tighten the knob.
